A superb American demi-parure consisting of a brooch and earrings, circa 1870. The set pulls from the visual language of Sanfransican aestheticism, a style rooted in later Victorian architectural ornamentation, with similarities to to the Eastlake architectural movement. The rich gold harkens back to the Californian gold rush and the roots of California as a whole. Accented with Rose Cut Diamonds, the brooch contains a hook at the bottom to accept a drop or add on of your choosing.
